We are EnduroSat! A fast-growing space scale-up at the forefront of satellite innovation, specializing in advanced software-flexible satellites for commercial, governmental, and scientific endeavors.
- This is more than a job, it’s a mission
We are making space universally accessible and redefining what's possible.
- We get things done
We take ownership of what we do and we work hard to make a difference.
- We are fearless
Transparency is our only way forward. We dare to address and resolve issues head-on.
- We learn from our mistakes
We deliver, take informed risks, and evolve to achieve our goals. We compare with the best version of ourselves
The problem you'll work on:
The SpaceOps Platform operates tens of EnduroSat satellites, increasingly autonomously without a human in the loop. The decisions encoded in the platform decide which missions succeed and which don't. As a Product Lead, you own discovery and the specs: you talk to operators, surface what they actually need, and shape what the platform builds next and in what order. You influence direction and bring the recommendation.
There's no off-the-shelf playbook for this. You'll own discovery and the specs, and influence the roadmap: one day on a customer call collecting what operators actually need, the next in an architecture review. You'll write the specs and acceptance criteria engineering can build from without re-asking, and defend the cuts when the roadmap is twice the size of the team.
Some of your daily tasks will include
- Build a ruthlessly prioritised roadmap against engineering capacity and platform constraints and bring it to leadership — clear quarterly objectives, and cuts you can defend
- Interview satellite operators (our customers and our internal mission ops teams) to uncover the actual jobs they're trying to do
- Turn the roadmap into specs, decision docs, and a well-formed backlog: buildable stories with acceptance criteria engineers can act on without re-asking
- Run the delivery cadence: sprint/iteration planning, refinement, and accepting or rejecting completed work against the criteria you set
- Coordinate delivery across EnduroSat teams and clients: track cross-team dependencies, milestones, and launch windows, and surface risks and blockers before they slip
- Track adoption and outcomes after launch; close the loop between what was shipped and what changed for users
- Communicate roadmap, progress, and trade-offs to leadership, customers, and the rest of the company
What we look for
- 5+ years of product management experience
- Track record of shipping mission-critical or high-reliability software (defense, aerospace, energy, medical, or financial infrastructure all count)
- Space, satellite, or aerospace domain background
- Technical fluency: you can read APIs, follow system architecture, and hold credible conversations with senior engineers on design trade-offs
- Hands-on backlog ownership in an agile/iterative delivery model: you've broken roadmaps into stories, run planning and refinement, and been the person who decides when work is "done"
- Comfortable coordinating delivery across functions without a dedicated project manager: tracking dependencies, milestones, and risk across hardware, software, and operations
- Strong written communication: your specs and decision docs are clear, scoped, and unambiguous
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical depth
This role is not for you if...
- You want a clean Jira backlog and a calm meeting cadence. You'll help build both, but they won't exist on day one
- You prefer to define product direction from a slide deck rather than from a customer call and an architecture diagram
- You don't enjoy saying no to senior stakeholders
- You want the satisfaction of a finished product. The platform will never be finished, and that's the point
What you're signing up for
- Real ownership of the work
You own discovery, the specs, and the delivery; the recommendation and the day-to-day sequencing are yours, and they carry weight. Final prioritisation sits with leadership - Hard, specific problems
Autonomous satellite operations, mission-critical workflows, customers who can't tolerate downtime - Direct line to customers and missions
You'll talk to satellite operators every week and see your decisions affect real spacecraft - Engineering depth alongside you
You'll work with engineers who've shipped real flight systems and treat product decisions as joint work, not handoffs - Quarterly objectives, delivery culture
Clear quarterly goals, short feedback loops, and a team that ships
